Virtual Season FAQs
What is a “Live Online” virtual concert?
Live Online concerts are pre-recorded video concerts with introductions, commentary and visual complements. The concerts are released Live Online at a set date and time.
How do I attend a “Live Online” virtual concert?
Ticket holders will receive a link and a password via email to access the concert video.
Does each member of my household need to purchase a ticket?
No, but we do offer the option for a Watch Party Ticket.
What is a Watch Party Ticket?
The hour-long concert videos are perfect to share with extended family and friends in a socially distanced Watch Party and we encourage you to share the music. A typical concert requires individual tickets for all attendees. If you plan to bring together a group to watch the concert, we ask that you purchase a Watch Party ticket.
What is the difference between “Live Online” concert and “Replay”?
The content is the same. However, because the Live Online presentation is at a specific time, viewers can share real-time comments with Artistic Director Dr. Joseph Holt, singers, and other concert attendees.
Replay is the same video that remains online for 30 days so ticket holders can watch at their convenience as many times as they wish. Ticket holders for In Person concerts can also access the performance online for a period of 30 days (Replay).
What is a Live Stream and how is that different from the other formats?
In a real time broadcast, we turn on the cameras and broadcast the program as it happens. Concert Insights are Live Streamed conversations and informal performances with artistic director, Dr. Joseph Holt, and performers in upcoming concerts.
How will I get my tickets?
Tickets for Live Online, Replay, and Live Stream presentations will be electronic. You will receive them by email at the time of order. Shortly before the event ticket-holders receive the web link and password to access the event.
When we return to In Person concerts, you will have the option of receiving electronic (email) tickets or printed tickets.
When will we have “In Person” concerts again?
With appropriate precautions, we plan to gather our singers and perform In Person with live audiences.
Two outdoor performances are planned, sponsored by Marie Selby Botanical Gardens*.
- February 3, Marching to Freedom will be at Historic Spanish Point (Performances on the Point)
- February 28, You’ll Never Walk Alone will be at Selby Gardens (Music in the Garden)
*NOTE: these performances will be ticketed by Selby Gardens, not Choral Artists
Beginning with our April performance, we plan to offer In Person concerts at the Sarasota Opera House to finish the season
- April 25, Listen to the Earth (world premiere)
- July 4, American Fanfare
Will “Replays” be available after “In Person” concerts resume?
Replay presentations of In Person concerts will be available online approximately 10 days after the concert. Concert ticket holders can access the Replay to revisit the performance anytime during the 30-day replay. Replay performances can also be purchased separately and will be available for 30 days.
