O Magnum Mysterium - Morten Lauridsen

What was your favorite musical moment?
The start of the third movement of Ola Gjeilo's Sunrise Mass -- The City. It starts off with a long, soaring line for unison male voices set atop a wonderfully rhythmic string accompaniment that thrums along with a special kind of lambent energy. It's a great piece of vocal writing in itself, but performing it with the men of Choral Artists was especially gratifying; it's not every day that you get to hear so many powerful voices blended together in one beautiful, coherent sound!
