2019/2020 Season: Encounter!
Welcome to our 41st Season
As the great philosopher, Plato observed, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” As the color of sound, music is an overwhelming sensory experience, bringing joy, expressing the inexpressible, and creating an aural world of wonder. Music is, indeed, a most powerful natural drug that stimulates our imaginations.
We seek musical experiences and yearn for the magical delight of exquisitely beautiful sounds caressing our very being, nurturing the deepest places of our souls. Music has become available everywhere in the modern era, and yet, the communal act of experiencing music together in a concert space has not been duplicated in our digital life. We invite you to share in this common experience with the Choral Artists of Sarasota, encountering a musical world like no other.
Events supporting Choral Artists this season include a Reinvention Luncheon in October at Michael’s On East featuring guest speaker Todd Craven and a stellar performance with sopranos Jenny Kim-Godfrey and Robyn Rocklein in addition to a Key To Our Success Gala in March which celebrates the musical achievements of Choral Artists of Sarasota.
Our 41st season will take you on flights of musical fancy that will thrill, enchant, and delight while offering you an opportunity to marvel in the one art that touches each and every one of us in deeply satisfying ways. As Stephen Sondheim so aptly stated, “If I cannot fly, let me sing.”
